What's old is new again...
Hey, everyone! This will be a short newsletter. I’m currently lying in a hotel bed in Cambridge, Ohio with my wife and son, as we're about halfway in our trip to Southern Indiana to spend Christmas with my family. My left eye is rapidly swelling up because by son “accidentally” smacked me in the face with the hotel phone, so I want to type this out before I can't see anymore.
I have a new book coming out in January!
Sort of…
The brand new edition of my thriller novella EVERYBODY WANTS TO RULE THE WORLD will be coming out on January 29th (my birthday!) in a spiffy new paperback and e-book edition. Cover art and book layout by CV Hunt.
But, Wes, didn't this come out, like, two years ago?
Indeed, it did. This particular novella was released back in 2023 as part of the DISASTERPIECES anthology myself and author Wile E. Young released. The book was two novellas, on from each author, about non-supernatural disaster stories. We both really adored the book and our stories, but for whatever reason the book just didn't catch on with our readers and the public at large. We had planned to make this a series, adding another authors into the mix and hoped to keep it going as a yearly thing, but after a year and a half of sitting stagnant and sales at nearly zero, we ultimately decided the best course was to separate the stories. I can tell you we're both heartbroken about it, but that's just the way it goes sometimes. All we can do is put the two stories out individually and work on getting these stories into the hands of our readers.
I’m extremely proud of this story and the real and current themes it's covering. I’m truly hoping you will decide to give this new edition a chance and check it out.
