Hey, everyone! It's been a little bit, but I'm back with some big news…
The new book is finished!
Sort of.
Okay, the first draft is finished!
That's better.
So it's basically done, right? The hard work, anyways. I’m an incredibly impatient person and was going to wait a little longer to do this, but while I have some downtime at work, I’ll throw this out there for my newsletter subscribers to check out:
I’ve been sitting on the initial artwork since I acquired it from the great Trevor Henderson earlier this year, but I only just got CV Hunt from Squidbar Designs to create the over layout. I absolutely LOVE it. Trevor's artwork is second to none, and I’m so thrilled he let me use this for my new book.
So what is THE BETTER TO EAT YOU WITH? It's essentially a novella collection. It will contain my previously published novellas CLOSING COSTS and my award-winning ONE FOR THE ROAD, and will boast my brand new, original to this collection 40,000 short novel titled THREESOME. While I still have a lot of work to do in the next month and a half to get it ready for publication, I can tell you I’m going to work my ass off to have copies of this book in-hand for both AuthorCon St. Louis and the Merrimack Valley Halloween Book Festival in Haverhill, both in October. The wide release will be sometime in mid-October. All the details are forthcoming.
Speaking of events, here are my remaining events for 2024:
September 7: Gardner's Used Books Signing, 4421 S Mingo Rd, Tulsa, OK 74146, Signing all day (My first solo bookstore signing ever!)
September 21: York Author Fair, 159 E Market St, York, PA 17401, Singing 10am-1pm
October 4-6: AuthorCon STL, 9801 Natural Bridge Rd, St. Louis, MO 63134, Signing all weekend

October 26: Horror Literature Celebration, 485 Mauldin Ave, North East, MD 21901, Signing 10am-1pm
Really hope to see you out on the road!
And that's it for this one. I have a super busy week from here on out. Tonight I’m going with my wife to Reading, PA after work to see Mastodon and Lamb of God (the concert of the year!), tomorrow I'll start edits on the new book, Friday night I have Slipknot in Baltimore, and Saturday I get to spend the day in Hershey with my wife and son.
Have a great rest of your week!

That cover is sick.
